In this workshop Guido Verhoef & Bella Volen combine the best of two art disciplines.
Guido Verhoef (The Netherlands) is a world wide known balloon designer and one of the most demanded international instructors. In the last 10 years he has won numerous international awards as designer and artist and created the worlds largest sculpture projects and shows in Europe, Asia and USA.
Bella Volen ( Bulgaria) is a professional fine artist, numerous body painting awards winner and an art teacher. Her special ideas, knowledge in color theory, composition and skills in every existing painting technique make her art and work with every surface one of a kind.
Together they joined their talent to introduce a special technique PAINTLOONS.
Paintloons is something new, not borrowed and not only blue, a fresh wind for your creations, a cheaper way to design bigger projects, which impresses, but doesn't make your model suffer, very light, simple to transport and easy to wear. Paintloons open up endless possibilities.
Content:
- Part 1:
Learning step by step hands on how to create your own balloon designs, wearable and special hats, accessories and different parts, which could be attached to the body, etc.
- Part 2:
Balloon demo painting. Explanation of the Paintloons painting technique, use of different paint products, the combination with the human skin, body painting and the Paintloons as 3D FX attachment.
- Part 3:
Demo: The ready paintloons will be combined with body painting and attached to the body
- Part 4:
Hands on- creating your own Paintloons

Letting go... How hard can it be? I see so many painters whose hands are so rigid, so constrained, and I think it is time to introduce a course to help people let their hands and fingers dance !
Hands can do a lot of work that the brain does not need to assist with so much. We will do exercises to let them have fun. From the results, we will then keep what we like and build from it.
Content:
- Focus points, how to play and re-arrange them to get funky results.
- Colors: DARE!!! The more the merrier but some rules apply...
- Symmetry: trick to never miss, either on the face or on the body.
- Texture: the many patterns we can enhance our body-paintings with- combination of sponge work and brush elements.
- All this course will also focus on speed and efficiency. I always work alone and so have developed ways to be fast, and will strive to pass on these tricks to you.
- We will work on the body, but many aspects covered in the course can also apply to face-painting.
