The jury came together on the 10th of November to judge, in total, 623 photo prints and nearly 300 digital artworks from the World Bodypainting Festival photo competition 2007.

Out of 250 limited registered photographers from 20 nations, 160 photographers sent us their work. Every registered photographer was allowed to send us 6 photo prints and 6 digital works.

The judges were:

It took a lot of work for the jury to judge each photo carefully. They gave a minimum of 3 points up to a maximum of 10 points for the best photos. The judges then presented the results in the late evening.

Photos in the higher level with the same points were judged again.
We have uploaded 2 complete photo galleries in both categories.

   Bodypainting Model of the Year Award

What would be the photo without the expression of the model.
Thats why each year we award the "Bodypainting Model of the Year".

The award goes to the model, that expresses and represents the bodypainting artwork the best. That includes the modeling on the main days, on stage as well as in the photo shooting area.

This prize is awarded within the photo competition.

This year the award goes to:

Erika Simmons from Florida, USA

She was very often and well photographed at the festival. During the presentations, the painting hours and the posing in the photo area she was constantly in caracter and worked very well.
She was also modelling on all main days with the artists Alex Hansen in the category airbrush and the wolfe brothers in the category brush/sponge.

Erika can also be seen on the winners photo in the category "Photo Print".
