From today we have the full artist information for the World Bodypainting Festival 2010 available. Other languages such as french, spanish and italian will follow soon.
What would be the photo without the expression of the model. Thats why each year we award the "Bodypainting Model of the Year".
The award goes to the model, that expresses and represents the bodypainting artwork the best. That includes the modeling on the main days, on stage as well as in the photo shooting area.
This prize is awarded within the photo competition.
From today we have the official World Bodypainting Festival DVD 2009 available in our online shop. The DVD contains within 141 minutes:

Having the World Bodypainting PHOTO Award for 11 years now, we searched for the old results from the beginning of the photo competition of the festival. We tought it might be also nice for photographers to see the results since 1999 in a "Photo Hall of Fame" .
This photo by the Austrian Thomas Froehlich was the favourite of the jury. But the jury all agreed that the work was to digitally worked upon for the category "Photo classic" where it was entered. The jury decided to give him a special jury award for that extra ordinary great photo.

Now we finished the report from the giving of the World Bodypainting Photo Award. All photos and results are online.
Last night the judges gave the World Bodypainting PHOTO Award, presented by Nikon. There were about 1.000 photos in the 2 categories to be judged. We already have the complete photo galleries for both categories online:

The 10 Ocotber was the closing date for entries to the World Bodypainting PHOTO Award. On the upcoming Thursday evening is the jury evening. We are happy this year to welcome amongst other Austrians well known photographer Gabriele Steiner, who just recently was awarded with the Austrian champion title for art photography.
We are looking forward to publish the results on the upcoming Friday in the two categories "Photo classic" and "Digital Art" .

Package 1: Hotel appartment for 4 - 8 persons in the new Camp Royal X
The Camp Royal X is a new hotel complex direct on the lake in the Seeboden bay. It is very central located within walking distance to the WBF Academy locations and the Bodypaint City. The appartements are available in 2 different sizes. The smaller version is for up to 4 people, the large one up to 8 people. The offer is fixed for the date from Wednesday, 14th July to Monday, 19th July, but can be extended on request.

Photo ticket holders from the festival 2009 have time till October, 10th to send us their work to enter the World Bodypainting PHOTO Award. There we have 2 categories, "photo classic" & "digital art". The total cash prizes for the photo competition is € 3.300 (US$ 4.700). From the best photos the photo catalogue will be produced and sent out in December to all participants (artists, models, photographers) free of charges.
